TechArk’s LemonAid for a Cause

 As you may recall, last Friday our Founder & CEO could be found with his son on the corner of Brambleton and Freemason, handing out cups of lemonade as part of Anthem & CHKD’s LemonAid event.

Designed to raise money and “put the squeeze on childhood cancer,” this event meant a whole lot to Pratik, his wife Jinal, their son, and our staff.

“It was a great time with my son and we raised money for a good cause,” said Jinal. “What better way to end the work week?”

Everyone in the office pitched in in some small way, whether helping to set up the stand or by taking a midday break for an ice-cold cup of altruism.

Last year Anthem & CHKD raised $120,000 through this initiative, and this year our own small slice raised a whopping $255!

We are proud to support such a noble cause, and we know the Kotharis are so proud of their son for getting involved. We definitely had fun mixing, pouring, and serving everyone’s favorite summer beverage right by the TechArk office HQ, in the heart of downtown Norfolk.

“It was really neat to know that we were helping other kids,” said the younger Kothari. “And it was really fun putting the money in the jar!”

We see a talent for entrepreneurship in his future, just like his parents. Thank you to everyone who came out to support TechArk’s LemonAid stand, including a few joggers who circled back with cash, and even some telephone donations!
