(NORFOLK, Va.) February 8, 2023 — TechArk Solutions hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the company’s newly-redesigned corporate office. During the event, guests from the City of Norfolk and City of Norfolk Economic Development, including Mayor Kenny Alexander and Councilwoman Andria McClellan, enjoyed networking over lunch and touring the office’s functional and inviting workspaces.

Like many digital solutions agencies, TechArk became a remote-first company in 2021 and today 100% of the U.S. team works from home. However, for founder Pratik Kothari, giving up the company’s physical office on York Street was never an option. Instead, he decided to invest in a redesign by OneSpace Architects and transform the office into a casual, community-oriented workspace.

Rows of individual workstations have been replaced by a comfortable lounge area with modular furniture. Glass walls, sleek furnishings, and advanced videoconferencing technology create a sense of possibility. In the center of it all, a wall of client logos is illuminated by energy-efficient LED lighting. These intentional design elements speak to the presence TechArk has established in the Hampton Roads community.

“We’re a global team, but we’re as active as ever in the local community. We’re also modeling a new way of working that actually builds the bottom line,” Pratik Kothari said. “To successfully transition to a remote workforce, we implemented new tech platforms, HR policies, and a wider reach for talent acquisition. As a result, we also saw our client base grow by over 50%.”

Jinal Kothari, President & CEO of OneSpace Architects, provided the vision for the office renovation.

“My approach to the space was to reimagine the workspace for a remote-first company. We maximized the available footprint to facilitate collaboration, whether it is in-person or virtual,” said Jinal Kothari. “Even the conference room table is multifunctional,” she added. “It collapses into a small side table when the space needs to be opened up for a community event.”

TechArk pursues innovation in every aspect of business. And today, with the office reopening, the company has reimagined the workplace, creating something different in its place: a presence in the community and a place for collaboration.
