TechArk Recognized by the City of Norfolk
After expanding services and experiencing record growth in 2021, TechArk continues to be recognized by the City of Norfolk in 2022.
On April 12, the City of Norfolk’s Department of Economic Development announced that TechArk plans to expand its Norfolk-based headquarters, investing over $100,000 to improve its present facility located within the Norfolk Innovation Corridor (NIC) – a Technology Zone – and creating eight new high-tech, high-wage jobs in Norfolk.
This announcement came soon after the State of the City address on April 7, during which Mayor Kenny Alexander recognized TechArk as a major contributor to the burgeoning technology corridor within the city.
“TechArk Solutions’ decision to continue to invest in its Norfolk headquarters and create additional high paying jobs underscores that Norfolk remains one of the very best places for technology businesses in the U.S.,” said Mayor Alexander. “The internationally recognized Norfolk Innovation Corridor [where] TechArk calls home continues to reinforce the compelling case that Norfolk is the place for innovative companies to find talent and grow.”
TechArk has continued to make significant investments in building a strong team of website designers and experienced digital marketing professionals – so much so that the company was named to Inc. 5000’s list of “Fastest Growing Companies.”
In 2021, TechArk added 13 US-based members to its global team, 11 of which were local to Hampton Roads, and expanded digital marketing services to include social media marketing, email marketing, and video production. This momentum has continued into 2022, with the company expanding by another 10 members in the first four months alone, with four from the Hampton Roads area.
