The Challenge

The United Way of the Virginia Peninsula (UWVP) hosts an annual Angel Tree program, a cherished holiday initiative with the Salvation Army to provide gifts to children in need.

While the tradition had an established fan base, UWVP saw an opportunity to expand the program’s reach and community engagement through strategic social media use.

The Solution

TechArk partnered with UWVP on a strategic social media campaign to transform the event into a digital success story. By implementing consistent posting schedules and strategically tagging 38-40 partner organizations, we dramatically grew impressions and engagement.

The key to this success was our methodical approach. We began by developing a comprehensive marketing and social media plan, clearly defining our goals and management strategy. Working across three accounts, our content specialist established monthly check-ins and maintained campaign consistency. Partners actively shared our progressive event updates, directly contributing to increased participation and sign-ups.

Throughout the campaign, The United Way of the Virginia Peninsula’s Facebook page gained 66 new followers and 26,855 impressions. The page likes increased by 3.25% and impressions by 103.45%, reflecting growing interest and visibility.
This structured approach resulted in unified messaging across all platforms while building momentum for the event through targeted partner engagement.
