The client was ready to migrate from an old CRM system to a new SAP environment when they discovered that their data was less than ideal.
In fact, they had no confidence in the data they had. Their client and vendor records — more than 170,000 names, email addresses, phone numbers and physical addresses — were not formatted correctly, and they weren’t sure that the information they had was valid.
They considered hiring temporary help to work for three weeks to manually validate and clean up the records, at a cost of $50,000.
