The Challenge

The Training and Technical Assistance Center (TTAC) at Old Dominion University supports educators and families in improving outcomes for students with disabilities. While the existing site hosted a vast collection of articles, newsletters, and event updates, it faced structural and usability challenges. Many posts lacked proper categories, URLs were inconsistent, and the resource hub was incomplete. The site needed better organization, accessibility, and a more engaging experience for its diverse audience of teachers, administrators, and parents.

The Solution

TechArk worked closely with the TTAC team to modernize and organize their digital presence, ensuring that every visitor—from educators to support staff—could easily find what they need. The project included cleaning, restructuring, and reimporting hundreds of posts and articles for proper categorization and accurate permalinks, building a dedicated resource hub, and redesigning the newsletter page to dynamically display articles with correct links. TechArk also enhanced event and resource request functionalities to support smoother community engagement, ensured Level AA accessibility compliance for inclusive use, and migrated both the main TTAC and Learn TTAC websites to a secure WP Engine environment with continuous maintenance and SSL protection. The redesigned site now stands as a dependable, easy-to-manage platform that amplifies TTAC’s mission and offers visitors a clear path to tools, resources, and learning opportunities.
