A website redesign opens the community to receive funding, volunteerism, and a flow of support.
The Challenge
Oasis Social Ministry, a nonprofit in Portsmouth, Virginia, needed to enhance its online presence to better support its mission of fighting food insecurity and homelessness. Their outdated Wix website, hosted by GoDaddy, was difficult to navigate, making it harder to secure grant funding, attract support, and engage volunteers.
Additionally, with the departure of a staff member who managed the site, it became clear that Oasis needed a website that not only reflected the diverse community it serves but also served as a tool to further its mission.
The Solution
TechArk stepped in to provide a complete solution that addressed Oasis Social Ministry’s needs. The team redesigned the website using WordPress, offering a user-friendly and flexible platform that was easy to maintain while also being visually compelling. The new design was tailored to align with the ministry’s mission and the diverse community it serves.
We also supported Oasis with professional copywriting and restructuring of the site’s content, ensuring the messaging effectively communicated the ministry’s goals and services. We also made an on-site visit to Oasis Social Ministry. This hands-on collaboration allowed our team to gain a deep understanding of the organization’s mission and impact, which informed the design and content of the website, ensuring it authentically represented Oasis’s role in the community.
