The Challenge
For over 50 years, the Eastern Shore Community Services Board (CSB) has been a cornerstone of support for Accomack and Northampton counties, providing vital mental health, substance use, and developmental disability services. However, their website—an essential resource for connecting with the community—wasn’t making the cut. With a cluttered layout, multiple navigation bars, and an unclear structure, users found it difficult to access the services and information they needed.
With so much to offer, the CSB needed a more substantial online presence that appealed to younger residents seeking support. Additionally, as a governmental agency, the CSB site must meet auditor expectations by providing clear, up-to-date service listings.
The Solution
TechArk partnered with Eastern Shore CSB to design a website that is as intuitive and organized as the services they provide. We simplified the navigation, creating a clear and structured layout to ensure users could easily find mental health resources, upcoming events, and important announcements. The redesigned site functions like a well-optimized network, guiding users to the information they need while supporting the Executive Director’s goal of effective communication with the community.
The new site also features integrated online payments and a prominently placed client portal, improving accessibility and convenience. The streamlined design ensures that essential services are only a click away, whether for those seeking help or auditors verifying service details. Since the launch, the revamped site has significantly improved user engagement and generated considerable online revenue.
