An inspiring advocacy website inspires Maryland’s youth to take a stand and stop lighting up.
The Challenge
CADCA needed a digital platform for their “Take Back Your 10” (TB10) campaign, aiming to combat teen tobacco and e-cigarette use. Sponsored by the Maryland Department of Health, the campaign raises awareness about the ten years of life potentially lost to smoking.
As a brand-new initiative, there was no existing digital presence for TB10. CADCA needed a platform that could appeal to both youth and adult mentors, offer seamless navigation, and align with their existing brand identity. The site also needed to host various resources, allow users to sign up, download materials, and offer a blogging feature—all while remaining easy to update and manage as the campaign grew.
The Solution
TechArk designed and built a dynamic website from the ground up, working closely with CADCA’s branding team to ensure a youthful, on-trend aesthetic that would resonate with the target audience. The theme-based website was developed for navigation, ensuring that key campaign resources and calls to action were never more than three clicks away from the homepage.
Key features of the solution included:
- A visually appealing, responsive design that aligned with CADCA’s brand standards.
- A clean, easy-to-navigate layout tailored to both youth and adult users.
- A content management system (CMS) built on WordPress, enabling CADCA to easily manage content updates as the campaign evolved.
- Blog functionality and downloadable resources to foster deeper engagement.
- Integration of Google Analytics 4 to track website performance and user engagement.
The result is a powerful, user-friendly platform that positions “Take Back Your 10” as a driving force in the fight against tobacco use among Maryland’s youth. By providing a digital space for advocacy, resources, and community engagement, CADCA is empowering the next generation to lead the charge in tobacco prevention.
