The Challenge
CIEES needed to make essential training on substance use disorder (SUD) accessible for caregivers and staff supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). While the content was comprehensive, it was scattered across multiple PDFs, videos, and guides, causing confusion and slowing learning. They required a centralized, easy-to-navigate platform that organized modules clearly, supported accessibility needs, and guided users through a logical, actionable learning pathway.
The Solution
TechArk collaborated with CIEES to build a streamlined, learner-first digital hub that organizes all 11 training modules into a clear, progressive path. The redesigned resource groups are divided into four intuitive learning sections, each supported with concise descriptions, visual cues, and downloadable guides. Accessibility and mobile usability were prioritized to ensure all caregivers—including those using assistive technology—could access materials effortlessly. Practical tools, surveys, and action-oriented resources were integrated to support real-world application and continuous improvement. The result is a cohesive training environment that empowers caregivers to learn quickly, apply knowledge effectively, and navigate complex SUD and IDD care with confidence.
