The Challenge
First Presbyterian Church needed a digital revival. Their website was outdated, difficult to navigate, and poorly optimized for mobile. An overcrowded menu, slow load times from directly embedded videos, and a dated visual design limited their ability to reach both existing and prospective congregants. Key functions—like submitting prayer requests, viewing events, or giving online—were hard to access, leaving the church disconnected from its digitally inclined audience.
The Solution
TechArk redesigned the church’s website from the ground up, starting with a modern, mobile-responsive layout that reflected their vibrant coastal identity. We simplified the navigation, consolidated excess pages, and introduced an interactive calendar to highlight events and fundraisers. Sermons were moved to SoundCloud and embedded for seamless playback, dramatically improving load speed. We also added accessible features like larger fonts, streamlined forms for prayer requests and signups, and online tithing functionality. Post-launch, we trained church staff to manage the site independently—setting them up to grow their digital ministry with ease.
