TechArk named to Inc. 5000 list in a year that disrupted the entire business world

Inc. magazine has announced that TechArk Solutions, a Virginia-based digital solutions company specializing in website development, digital marketing, and custom software and app development, has been included in its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the country. TechArk’s business is thriving and has experienced year-over-year revenue growth of 59%, a very impressive feat especially in a year that presented businesses in all industries with so many pandemic-related challenges.

“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”

“If COVID-19 has taught businesses one thing it is that in order to continue to be successful they must offer innovative and effective digital experiences to their clients and their employees. Over the last year, TechArk has experienced tremendous growth by helping many of the leading companies in Hampton Roads including Sentara Healthcare, Rose & Womble, and Old Dominion University. TechArk’s innovative web and marketing solutions have helped hundreds of companies in reducing their costs and increasing profits by attracting new customers” says Pratik Kothari, Founder, and CEO of TechArk.

The Inc. 5000 award comes on the heels of several other achievements TechArk has experienced in 2021 including being named Norfolk’s Small Business of the Year by the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and finalizing two acquisitions. TechArk’s CEO, Pratik Kothari has also been recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year by the Chamber. “We are very thankful for the success we have seen over the last year and truly believe the best is yet to come,” says Kothari.

While the pandemic has presented many companies with challenges when it comes to staffing and remaining productive in the remote world, Kothari says the team at TechArk has thrived during COVID, and working remotely is one of the main drivers of the company’s success .“While we are based in Norfolk, we have a global workforce that allows us to attract the best and brightest developers, marketers, project managers, and leaders to our organization. Our talent, along with our commitment to our core values of integrity, quality and innovation truly set us apart in the marketplace and have allowed us to work with many of the leading companies in Virginia, many of whom return to us again and again.”

TechArk has experienced rapid growth over the last year and Kothari does not expect the hiring surge to stop any time soon. “We will continue to hire at a rapid pace while building a team of experts in their fields. Being in the technology sector we have to continue to be innovative in our thinking and hiring the best of the best allows us to offer the absolute highest level of website, marketing, and technology solutions to our clients,” Kothari says.

Kothari also says one of his team’s favorite projects over the last year was the website development for VB Relief  (https://vbrelief.org/). This program, a partnership between the United Way of Hampton Roads and The City of Virginia Beach, administered tens of millions of dollars of aid to families in need during the COVID-19 crisis. The United Way approached TechArk with a need for a website to administer financial aid and TechArk was able to have the website designed, developed, and operational in only 3 weeks.

Another project that stood out to Kothari was an online portal and video training series produced by TechArk in partnership with CIEES at Old Dominion University and the Virginia Department of Education that allowed tens of thousands of educators across Virginia to receive crucial social, emotional, and behavioral health training when schools across Virginia were suddenly faced with having to train their staff in a remote world.

“It is truly a joy to watch the team work with organizations of all sizes and scopes to develop innovative solutions that allow these companies to be successful in such challenging times,” Kothari says.

“We’ve recently celebrated our 9th anniversary, but I truly feel like we are just starting to scratch the surface of what is possible. As our clients witness firsthand the expertise and commitment to excellence we have, they are eager to partner with us for more projects. As an entrepreneur myself, nothing makes me happier than helping business leaders solve their problems and grow their own businesses.”
