It’s December, and we at TechArk are feeling nostalgic. Join us as we take a trip down memory lane, and look back on some of the year’s highlights.
January
TechArk started the year strong, with our founder & CEO, Pratik Kothari, receiving his personalized license plate. We’ll give you one guess what it says.
February
The month of love was full of fun, functionality, and … fish? Our branded team t-shirts arrived in Feb 2017, spurring a few members of our team on to conduct an impromptu photo shoot by the water.
Oh, and we launched Bay Disposal’s innovative rental app that month, too. #NBD
March
In an effort to wrangle the year into something great, our team kicked off the TechTalk educational series in spring. Featuring various members of our team discussing their areas of expertise, the TechTalks were a lot of fun for the whole office.
April
While we did actually get a lot of work done in April 2017, we’d rather focus on the real highlight: the ping-pong tournament. At the end of the working day, our teams would congregate to analyze the scores and determine the next match-ups. #Rematch2018
May
Our copywriter started at TechArk on the first day of May, and since she’s the one writing this (hiii) it’s the highlight of May 2017.
June
Each summer we welcome a new intern (or three). This year we enjoyed the company of Zach, Alden, and Jack, three sharp kids who are going places. We hope to see them again next year, and maybe some new faces as well.
July
We were pleased to play host to Cheryl Tan and her crew as they filmed a segment of HR Business Weekly. Our founder & CEO had been featured on the show previously, and they loved our office space so much they wanted to use it again. BFFs!
August
As the summer faded into fall, TechArk celebrated our five year anniversary. August was an exciting month for that reason, in addition to the Solar Techlipse which united much of our nation in gazing blankly at the sky while wearing silly goggles.
September
With the announcement of the new iPhones came a dramatic reveal of our own – the TechArk phone wallets. Check out our tongue-in-cheek blog post about it, and stop by our downtown Norfolk office anytime to pick one up.

Always on the go, our founder & CEO was honored to be one of the recipients of the CoVaBiz Millennials on the Move award. Noted for being an outstanding entrepreneur at the prime age of 36, we think Pratik looked pretty sharp at his photo shoot.
November
Our favorite marketing coordinator, Naresh, received his Google Display Ads certification and we couldn’t be more proud of him. You’ll always be our Number One Search Result, Reshy.
December
This month, the final stop in our trip down TechArk’s Memory Trail, is our lead designer graduating from the Art Institute with his second degree. Congrats, Michael!
