Celebrating Our 10th Anniversary: The Story of TechArk
We’re thrilled to be celebrating our 10th anniversary! You might know us as the premier tech solutions provider in Hampton Roads. Perhaps you’ve seen us at professional gatherings. Maybe you’ve heard our name through a mutual acquaintance. Regardless of how you’re reading this, I’m glad you’re here. Because while you might know our name, I’d like for you to know our story.

Laying the Foundation
The name TechArk is a tie between my wife and I — me being the technical, analytical person, her being the creative architect.
TechArk actually began as a part-time side initiative. I could only work on it during my off-time, which meant many late nights and long weekends. It wasn’t until 2012 that we decided to make it official by establishing our U.S. presence. And, with a leap of faith in 2014, I left my full-time job to dedicate as much as I could into building TechArk into a truly viable business.
The Game-Changing Client
TechArk’s initial services offered custom software builds. It wasn’t long before we landed the German-Swiss manufacturing company, Liebherr. They are a giant within their industry, with an extensive global presence.
They had a tedious, manual estimation process — done entirely on paper — that affected their dealers across North America. So, we automated their portal as a web-based application. This allowed their dealers to build estimates as if building a car, and it changed the game for them. In fact, it’s a process that, years later, they’re still using.
It was the project that gave the TechArk team the confidence we could build a bigger, even more sustainable business.
And so we did!
Growing a sustainable business meant expanding services to support more touchpoints of each client’s online visibility. Thus, in 2015, we added digital marketing by way of SEO and PPC, and have since added social media, email, and video production services. This has allowed us to take the web products we build and maximize their performance even more.
But it was in 2016, once we opened our office in downtown Norfolk, that truly — and quite literally — put us on the map.
Close to Old Dominion University, Norfolk State University, ECPI and all the businesses in the area, we had more visibility than ever. We connected with many new clients and fellow business leaders in the area simply from having a physical presence to our brand.
We couldn’t have anticipated the effects it would have on our growth, and how it solidified us as a trusted company in Hampton Roads.

As this anniversary milestone closes our first decade, it’s humbling to see where we’ve come from.
- Worked with over 300 clients, from one-person startups to corporate powerhouses.
- Contributed to over 50 non-profit organizations through financial support, marketing and technology projects.
- Hired over a hundred employees across the globe.
- Won several prestigious awards and accolades.
- Acquired several businesses to continue our forward momentum.
But this is only the beginning of our story!
Reaching this anniversary is all thanks to our clients, community and employees who have been part of our journey over the last decade. Because of you, we know that we can face the next decade with even bigger plans, more strategic goals and a grander vision of who we are and what we do.
